The South Dakota Council is pleased to host the Midwest Region Conference of the Navy League of the United States on Friday September 18th and Saturday September 19th.
Fridays events will include:
- 9 -10 am – Tour of Aerostar (an aerospace company that manufactures products for the U.S. Navy – radar, high altitude balloons, pilot over the side suits, fuel handler coveralls, etc.)
- 1:00 – 2:30 – Tour of Battleship South Dakota Memorial (time flexible)
- 6:30 – POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony – Veterans Memorial Park, followed by reception at American Legion Post 15
President Bill James will host the all-day Saturday business sessions in the hotel amphitheater. Lunch will be provided.
The Midwest Region conference wraps up with an informal Saturday evening dinner that provides an opportunity for conference attendees and local council members to socialize and get acquainted.
